Stradic Ci4

just wanted to know are the stradic ci4 in the 2500 and the 3000 exactly the same besides the amount of line they can hold?

eg, same body frame size different spools?

same internals?

Hey Mate,

both the 2500 and 3000 c14 are very similar. They have the same amount of bearings (6+1), the same drag (7kg) and retrieve ratio (6.0:1). This tends me to believe that inside of the reel, bring the mechanics are the exact same.

The only differences in the reels are that the 3000 has 3cm more retrieve and holds more line, due to the larger spool. Additionally, the 3000 is 5grams more heavier. Other than that, they are the exact same.

I may be completely wrong with regards to the mechanics so we may need Slinky to clear it up:thumbup:

Sorry Mike... I can't help with this one. I haven't ever opened them up. The best way to tell would be to check the schematics for both reels. If the part numbers are the same then that's your answer.

I think they are the same reel... just different spool.
