giangnguyen
Hi Raiders, Forum been quiet lately, so I thought I would throw in this report. After reading past posts on squidding. Mini Min and I decided to hit Gymea Bay yesterday afternoon to try and gather squid for bait. I wasn't really sure how the area was like, as this would be my first time there. So I decided to bring my 11" graphite rod with 20lbs braids. This is the setup I normally use at the rocks for spinning. Soon after arriving at the spot, I realised I was way over geared. And this heavy setup is going to make it alot harder then it should. Long story short, we went home with 23 arrows. Squids shut down after 8:30pm, so we packed up and left at 9pm. Alittle over 2hr session. Squids were taking all sizes of jigs, with sizes up to 3.5# Also I would like to thank Dan (fr: Dan and Greg) for joining us newbie on our boat last Saturday, and showing us around the Harbour. Although the kingies weren't on the bite yet, I'm sure your spots and techniques has come along way. And we'll sure to try, test and improve it in our future sessions. Hope to see you in the water soon. Thanks for reading. Snag-King.

Nice work on the squid, hope you can spare us a few . Look forward to heading out with you again in the future. Oh, Greg has been out a few times this last week, since we were out, and all he has got is a few rats every time. Very slow, bring on summer!
