North Durras

hello raiders does anyone know whats the lake down at north durras fishing like whats in the lake also is it open or close and is there prawns in the lake?????

It usually fishies pretty good and always prawns around but so many people catching them at this time of the year.

If you head down to South Durras and head around rocks to second point after Wasp Island the fishing there is good, you can get near it from the dirt track that is on the right as you come into camping ground there.

what do you get off the rocks n with wat bait????

We used to go there every year and we caught garfish, blackfish, drummer, groper and even morwong. There's so many good fishing spots down there, we used to explore the dirt tracks and spend hours driving around looking for fishing spots, if you get a chance go exploring and you'll find some great spots with nobody else there, most tracks are 2wd friendly.

There used to be some great flathead in the lake also.

Bait used was prawns, pillies, live poddy mullet and cunjevoi. We also used lures.

what about soft plastics what did you ever catch on soft plastics also can you catch on soft plastics off the rocks????

Wasn't into plastics back then, I only spun metals back then and sometimes got bonnies for bait.
