HI guys

I was wondering if you can help me . I will soon be visiting your wonderful country again (Jan 2011)for a holiday with family. We will be doing a little bit of fishing at Narrabeen Lake?.

Do I need a liscence to fish

Where would I get said liscence

And a quick heads up on tackle and tactics would be nice

Am a keen freshwater fisherman in the UK but this venue sounds like nothing I have encountered

Any help would be greatly received guys

Thanks in advance

depends on ur age. if u are over 18 u need a lisence, but if ur under you dont need one to fish with. if you are over 18 and is only helping a minor you dont need one

Welcome to fishraider Shane. No secrets here just use the search function and type in Narrabeen Lakes and you can do all the research you wish on the tons of posts that are on here.

Perhaps when you actually are in Australia next year you will have some more questions

just fish as light as possible mate between 8-10lb line preferly with fluorocarbon leader, plastics work well in the lake....and you cant go past using live pink nippers/beach worms or poddy mullet for bait.
