AdamK
Hi all Looking at an all round rod for jigging and light game (trolling for fins, small marlin etc) to match a Talica 12 two speed. game rods are just too heavy and jigging rods seem to light & thin. I need something in between. yet I still want it to be on the light side, if there's such a thing I looked at the Jigrex, Daiwa Monster mesh, heavy ugly stik jigging range but still dont think they are right. I am yet to try the Jigging masters but was told that they wont be right for what i want. Any suggestions please Adam
Mr Rob
Look at the shimano blue water/T-Curve range. My talica 12 works great on it. I have the 15-24kg one and run 60lb braid. A very light and capable setup.

Mr Rob
Hi Rob how do you find the Tcurve for trolling. Isnt it too light thanks Brewboy, will be looking at the Saltiga rods this week. thanks Adam Hi Adam Sorry for the late reply. To answer your question, I think the Tcurve is built for trolling. I have almost all of the saltiga rods and prefer the Tcurve for general trolling. The Tcurve is a little long for jigging but still ok if you only intend to jig every now and then. I put my set up to the test a few weeks back with a stingray the size of a car bonnet. I wes very happy with rod and reel.
NickF
Have a look at the Strudwick Bluewater series, 24-37kg. I use it for trolling and also jigging and it does both effortlessly with excellent performance. And it won't break your bank.
The Rev
Hi Adam - Just wondering how you have found the Talica 12 II - I was thinking about buying one for live baiting Kings in the harbour. Sick of getting run off by big fish. Any thoughts? Bruce (the Rev)
