vitaminsea Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 It's my first season fishing Sydney and went for a troll around the Botany Bay 16 FAD early Saturday. Nothing at the FAD so headed off NE towards the shelf. About 1/2 way there the long corner goes tearing off. 5 mins later the attached bull dolly comes on board. It measured up north of 1.2 m (bigger than my 7 yr old). Had targeted three species this season - 1 down. Now hopefully onto YFT and kingfish. On the former haven't seen any discernible bird activity at all over the last few weeks and have been out over Browns and further north, so if anyone's got any advice that would be appreciated. On the latter keep reading the other raiders reports with envy -- hopefully it'll come. Anyway, dolly fillets for the next month.

fishmaniac Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Nice dolly mate! We were out on Saturday and given the water temps were surprised they are not congregating around the FADs? Hopefully they will really fire up soon and there will be plenty more!
