bassboy888 Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 (edited) This is a bit of a late report but on sunday basscatcher and i decided that it would be a good idea to go for a short morning session. With a slight bit of hope to go out and catch my first kingy, the weather gods decided otherwise with a prediction of a big change to come through we decided to fish close to home in the upper Georges. Working surface lures it wasnt long before we got some action, however it was just alot of small bream attempting the sip the lures off the surface. We kept persisting in the area waiting for the tide to change, as soon as it did I was rewarded with to my surprise and EP, only a small one but the first one on a surface lure The fish then went shy, so a quick move only 10 meters up the bank resulted in some more action, landing a few undersize bream, a cast 10 cm closer to the mangroves resulted in this nice 32cm bream. Great fight and awesome to watch in shallow water Basscatcher Decided he wasnt having any luck on the surface and switched over to a plastic and within 15 minutes landed this nice 43cm flatty However these were our only legal fish with only a couple of small bream boated. Cheers Bassboy Edited February 16, 2011 by bassboy888

Cheers Bassboy Good fishing mate. I got a three EP the other day but overall had a shocker, very few hits on blades, chubbys and SPs. It's my turn to be out of action with electric motor trouble.... but when it comes back in a week, it'll have the iPilot fitted. Mick
bassboy888 Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 Thanks imick, it was a bit slow but still fun with the surface bite. That sucks with the electric we know how much of a pain that is, on the upside, the ipilot works like a treat, hands free position holding.
