PB Sailfish and Mahi Mahi

In December (2010) my wife and I went for a week to Costa Rica. Although the fishing was (for them) slow, in two days on the water we managed a PB Mahi Mahi for my wife and a PB Sailfish for me. We fished 30 to 40 miles off the coast in very comfortable sea conditions. If you get a chance to go to Costa Rica, take it. It's a great country.

i think i'd be dreaming if my wife came fishing with me...............

well done on the catch and a super high 5 for getting the wife on a fishing boat...

i think that would be a PB for most raiders if the came with them.

Spent 3 years living in Antigua and Costa Rica was always my long weekend getaway ! Surfing and Fishing.

Was it expensive?

We got lucky - I have a friend who has two apartments in a complex at a marina, and he has a share in a charter fishing boat. He gave us one apartment and shared the boat at "Mate's Rates". Otherwise I think it's a bit pricey. It's certainly more expensive than Mexico (where we fish each year). Oh, I guess I should explain that I spend 3 months in Sydney and the rest in California, so getting to Mexico and Costa Rica isn't too bad.
