Hi. Not really. Its really been very quiet lately. Same at bass pt. Regards

One of my mate went to basspoint on Sunday. He said not many fish there too. What's going on?

Hi. The last time we bagged out on the bonito was around the 3rd wk of jan. Since then we only caught one or two. One of my mate went to hill60 and bass pt yesterday and caught nothing. The bonito probably r heading back up north. Might go to avoca this weekend and check if the bonito r still there. Regards

I was at Avoca on sunday and it has slowed right down. Even the size of fish compared to a couple of weeks ago is down drastically. To compare, 3-4 weeks ago bonito were in plague proportions and they were all 45cm + and I landed one that went 55cm. I even saw a spotted mackerel and a couple of mack tuna landed. Sunday they were 30-35cm and few and very far between. Even livebaits were not producing anything

Time to start targeting other species i think

Hi. Thanks for the report on avoca. Yeah, looks like its time to change my rig to target other species like bream, trevs and maybe catch my 1st jewie. Regards

if you can get a live squid and float it out you should be able to get into a good king or 2. I forgot to mention that a guy got blown away by a hood on a pillie. he was fishing maybe 20lb main line and stood absolutelly no chance
