not a great deal of interest for many but was amazed by the huge amounts of tailor at sussex inlet.i was on my way to berrara beach for a fish but thought i'd stop in at sussex and see whats happening.as soon as i arrived i could here the water alive with suface fish feeding.i had pilchards with me but noticed no one was having success on this bait.i shon my light in the water and noticed copious amounts of tiny baitsish(whitebait?) which the tailor were chasing.so i put my only glow in the dark lure and struck up straight away on the light gear i brought, good fun but the next one bit through my 6lb line(losing old mate glow-in-dark).then used small plastics and scored plenty more.put the smallest one on live on my beach rig.nothing for 20mins then big hit but whatever it was took the front 3/4 of the tailor in a clean cut just missing my 9/0 hook, prob a shark but i'm only guessing!

anyway good fun watching a group of about 10tailor under the light of the jetty terrorising the bait fish constantly, reminded me of being up in the tropics watching the giant pelagics on herring
