Permatrim issue perhaps?

Hi Raiders!!!

Hopefully this is a quick question about my boat which some of you may be able to resolve.

I have a 465 Stacer alimunium runabout with a 70hp Johnson engine. I got a permatrim fitted prefessionally a few months ago to help it get on the plain easier.

The boat goes great however the last few times I've taken it out, it seems to bounce up and down quite heavily with the slightest of swell or bump in the water.

It gets worse when I try to adjust the tilt. This never use to happen unless in big swells...

Does anyone know what the problem may be?

Cheers!

can i ask is your motor set to correct height .the correct height for a mono hull is your anti ventilation plate (horrizontal piece above your prop) should be inline or no more than 25mm below the centre line (bottom) of your boat when motor is in full tilt down position if motor is set to high it could be the problem ,let us know how you go,what sought of permatrim is it plastic or the steel one and what brand, cheers dunc333

Yeah, motor is set correct.

Issue is that why would things change? goes well for say 6 months, then all of a sudden, it gets bumpy. Strange.

I will ask a silly question, is it warped or bent? I would imagine that could cause problems. Never seen it before but maybe

hey, the permatrim looks fine..doesnt look / feel any different from when we first got it approx 6 months ago
