New Rod and Reel for handling anything up to kingies in the bay

Hey guys this is my first post here. My brother in law caught a small tuna in the bay last week and as a result of being quite jealous i'm looking to upgrade to a new combo to for light to med estuary fishing (not to catch tuna since our dingy cant go too far out haha!).

I've been looking at the Daiwa Tierra 2500 and matching rod - Daiwa Tierra Spinning Rod 7' Medium

Any other recommendations in the $200-250 range?
