smith Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Been awhile since i've posted a topic so I thought I would throw one in. Met up with Luderic-Angler (Royce) yesterday for a session of blackies in the harbour. Started off abit slow but the burley started to bring them on. Royce landed the first one going about 37cm & in great condition. Royce landed another 2 similar to his first one. I had no luck got busted of 3 times before I got my first blackie. We bagged a couple more in between dropping a few & getting busted off again before they decided to go off the bite. We decided to move to another spot & found them straight away. Royce hooked up on his first down & we had only been there 5mins & hadn't even burlied yet. After we burlied then it was on. We both landed some more decent fish, dropped a few & got busted off in between. Royce hooked a thumper & had him running up & down the steps of the jetty until it decided to go out wide then turned & headed back to the jetty busting him off on the pylon. In the end we ended up with 11 quality fish. Thanks for a great day fishing Royce & hope to catch up again soon for another session. Scrubby
luderick -angler Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Paul, thanks for the great company a good day you forgot to mention all the ones we threw back! Definatly do it all again mate.
stormy Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Good one boys. So that's where the fish have gone. Hanging out in the northern suburbs and CBD rather than swimming around in God's country of "The Shire". I went out this morning and only got two - which was enough for dinner tonight.
Centrepin Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Well done lads. We hope to see them up the Hawkesbury soon. Geoff
