Hi, I use Sunline FC Rock, I have it in 6,8,10,16,20,30lb and it is good stuff.

The 20 and 30 takes a battering around the rocks and seems to have good abravise qualities..

Alberto,

I've just tried a new Japanese brand, Kureha - Seaguar Fluro Carbon leaders. Went for for the seaguar 130 (130 meters) in 4/8/20/32lb. High quality plus they are very well packaged for storing away!

Thanks

Phil

I've used Nitlon, Sunline, Blackmagic, Vanish, plus other brands, and I reckon they are all work fine. Recently, I bought a 275 yard spool of 4lb fluoro for $30 bucks and it appears the same as the smaller leader spools that can be bought for about $20.

If Bream guys can fish fluoro all the way through, with no "leader" then it's good for me.

I've noticed no change in hook up rate.

Someone in the industry told me it comes off the same machine, another person told me there is a difference in how hard the material is.

It works, and saves you money. You just need to get a razor and cut a little catch in the plastic spool.

Hi raiders, just wondering what fluorocarbon leader brands are u guys using, japanese brands....after a good quality leader in 30lb for snapper..

I'm a big fan of Berkley Vanish, Moimoi and recently on a heavier leader scale I've been using Black Magic.

what ever you do, don't touch rovex. It frays when merely tieing knots. I've been using Vanish in 10lb for flatties and it does a great job.

I use Vanish in 6lb and it's been great, been using Sunline FC rock in 8lb and 14lb and it's been even better then Vanish, but the best fluro i've used is platypus fluro in 4lb, it just won't break, and it's so thin !
