fishon Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 (edited) hi guys just would it be ok if i located the bilge pickup next to my transducer the stalk of the pick up wont be underneath the transducer or anything i have heard the transducer should be located at least 1 ft away from lower unit so it doesnt cause distortion just wandering if the pick up would cause distortion? just that i want my bait tank on the side of where it is anyinfo would be great note; the bilge pump wont be running at all when the depth sounder is on so there will be no electrical dissruption Edited March 20, 2011 by fishon

brickman Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 keep the pickup stem above the bottom off the hull or above the bottom off your tranducer and use a peace off plastic air line to extend your pickup to just under the hull cut a 45 degee angle in the air hose facing forward so when your under way it will feed the tank with out turning the pump on this method also will stop any damage to the pickup if you hit anything while underway or parkup on a beach or sand bar cheers gary
