rjc123
hey guys, starting to target some tailor. My favourite lure would have to be the Halco Laser Pro 120 in pilchard colour. What are everyone elses faves for these toothy critters??

dmad_dood
Hands down metals/slices. Halco twister in the appropriate size is my favorite for both surface and trolling, caught plenty of taylor with them. Don't have to worry about teeth as well, never had a problem with being cut of by teeth even after a dozen or so half decent sized ones and on 5lbs leader
james7
I've caught heaps of tailor with this really old lure. Half the paint has gone, but it still works well. Maybe it's the size and swimming action? I've also caught a lot on pink squid skirts, but the tailor chop them up pretty quickly. We tend to troll a few deep or shallow divers to locate the school (if you can't see them on the surface that is), then when we hook up we start casting metals at the school. Just remember to shut your motor down as soon as you locate them, then stay on the edges of the school. There is nothing more frustrating than someone ploughing through the school you are working.
