puregeek Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Hi All, Heading up to Lake Maquarie this weekend. Staying at Mannering Park. Never ever fished there before. Could some one please suggest some spots i should try and what i should be fishing for. I'm fishing from a boat. Ive been doing a little reading and allot of people recommend the hot water outlet. Can anyone tell me where that is. Thanks
Catchin Jack Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 hot water outlet is quite shallow and hit and miss, you are not allowed to fish there between sunset and sunrise. try pulbah island, sandy beach near summerland point, entrance to dora creek, there's so many places to fish there and you may have to try moving around a bit as fish move around and some spots that usually produce are dead quiet at times. Also try artificial reef, you can find location of it from DPI site. There is also a bream and flathead comp on this weekend in the lake.

Where can i find this artificial reef. What sort of baits work?... Ive usually use pilchards and chicken breast at botany. Would it be the same here? Thanks again.
