Hey everyone, im just wondering if there are any advantages of slimy mackeral over yellowtail i have never caught or used one of the fish as bait. And where can i catch them in the port hacking i know what they look like they just never seem to see them hanging around where i get yellowtail. Im keen to test them but have no clue where to get my hands on some. Im always watching closely to see any around the schools of yellowtail do they hang deeper or they just arent as common.

Hi fellow raiders,

I too want to know how to catch them. Everytime I burley up they are present however I have never caught one. Is the a particular set up or bait that we should be using to catch these buggers. Also if you catch one would you use it alive or filleted?

they will be at the back of the berley trail behind the yakkas. cast out an unwaited little pillie chuck and let it slowly sing.
