yes you heard right !!! after about 2 years of blue swimmers being missing in action in lake macquarie, aside from a few of course, it appears there back :thumbup: i got 3 in a hour yesty and a mate got 7 in 2 hours thru the week. all in witches hats with mullet bait. ill b checken me pots thisarv n will update then.

good to hear heading up there in a few weeks...got one question..what do the witches hat pots look like i only have the square pots that i think are better for muddies or are they alright for blue swimmers aswell...everytime i go out looking for witches hat nobody seem to have any....

They are just a single metal ring with a net attached and a rope attached to the net. The metal ring sits on the sea bed and the net is held up with a float. The net is cone shaped (comes to a point) where the rope is. I'll send you a PM where I get mine.

I just came back from staying the weekend at lake mac. Got 5 crab, however they didnt have much meat in them.

all up i got bout 18 male crabs all full of meat and only 1 female which tangled herself up that much i had to cut me net to pieces to get her out to let her go, lol. all caught on mullet pieces. ill post sum picks later.
