Light King Spin Rod?

I'm after a spinning Kingy rod. But I want something that cast smallish lures 5g but won't take 20min to reel in rats.

At the moment that is my problem.

I was looking at some snapper rods in the forums, but wasn't quite sure.

I am after a 1 piece.

Was looking at spending between $100 -$200.

Some of the rods i've seen are

Strudwick Softbodz 6'6' 4-6kg 7-25g

and

Shimano Starlo Stix Maxspin 2.18m 12-28g 4-7kg (Lure weight doesn't look great)

Thanks

Kurt

Hi Kurt

I was in the same position as yourself in regards to a kingfish sp rod... Wanted something light but still with some balls . After a lot of testing I up getting a diawa Luvis 8-14lb rod. The rod is extremely light but can put some hurt on the kings! I flick sp between 4-7 inchs with no issues.

The rods are normally around the $400 mark but since they are now discontinued they can be had for less than $200... Very good buy at that price. I have mine match to a Certate 2500 reel loaded with 14lb... Great combo to flick lures all day long.

Hope this helps.
