philskuz
Hi everyone, thought I'd give you an update on my day/night on Middle Harbour on Saturday. Spent a couple of hours flicking vibes around Roseville bridge for a few flathead and bream, and.... a 65cm Kingy! What a great fight on 4lb line! Had no idea a King would take a big-eye blade lure, and even more amazing at Roseville bridge! Not a bad start to the day. Must mention that I landed a Kingy near the Roseville boat ramp around this time last year. After a couple of hours moved mid afternoon and anchored up off Seaforth and must have landed 40-50 pinky snapper on chicken breast and soft plastics before we got bored. Only boated 3 legal sized pinkies but good fun. Threw out half a garfish on the big rod while we were playing with the pinkies... as we went to leave, picked up the rod pulled in a 75cm lizard! Getting on dark tried our livey spot near Tunks Park but only got a few. Both my mate Mark and I got busted off by something that grabbed our Sabiki jigs and bolted.... screaming drags... using tiny hooks with a dot of bread????? Maybe a jumbo breambo?? Moved to near the Roseville boat ramp and got plenty of livies (yellowtail & mullet). Rain started then (no cover on my boat) so decided to try our luck for Jewies under Roseville bridge. Spent a few hours there as the high tide came & went with no luck. The only evidence of fish was a livey that had been bitten in half by something big. Managed to grab a few bonus bream while we were there... So a good day out - bought home a dozen or so fish and enjoyed a brilliant seafood pasta Sunday night...! Sorry no pics.
