killcare sat and hangover cure sunday

decided to spent satureday checking some spots on the central coast first went to box head and had a walk around throwing metals for no hookups for an hour then used google earth on the iphone and decided to check out killcare where a few blackfish and drummer were being caught by other fishos after a few snags and bust offs made a move onto the beach flat as and no swell cast out about twenty meters after 5 minutes bites start and the salmon kept on coming onto the beach all up got 12 salmon biggest being 3kgs and smallest around 1kgs.only got one photo. after a big night sat night and a few too many ddaniel rang me up to see if i was intetrested in going for some squid i thought why not i would have went to sleep anyway and wasted a great day weather wise got to dans house loaded up the car and off to botany bay we go stopped off for some new jigs.start to walk the flats throwing jigs over the weed/kelp beds dans on first with a good size squid landed after 15 minutes off fishing dan instructs me to cast my jig where he got his to see if more are around so i do being new to going for squid i follow his instructions after a couple off turns of the real i get a hit but jig does not stick so i start retrieve again and whack im on to a squid same size as dans which was pb squid for me.after a short walk and move to different section of the flats repeat the process off cast and retrieve dan hooks another squid smaller than the 2 big squid but good eating size after a jig change i hook a small squid as well which is perfect bait size got the four squid in 2 hrs off fishing.after abig night out nothing clears the head better than being out on the water and relaxing catching squid.
