Mutt
I am lucky enough to be on 2 weeks holidays and want to get the boat out into Botany Bay (mainly the stretch between Captain Cook bridge and the entrance to Botany Bay.) Usually pick up a feed here in Summer/Autumn with live nippers, basically at this time of year is it worth it? Also, are nippers catchable all year - have a spot I regularly get them in Summer and not sure whether they are a 'Summer species.' Any advice greatly appreciated!!! Thanks! Yes, it's getting harder to collect nippers in Winter time, as they are in hibernation. Cheers, Andy
Izza
hey mate I got a tip from a guy on here about botany bay... I dont know what your chasing but he said if you head up to where there container terminal is more on the left hand side of it find a bit of reef and anchor up n he said to berly hard n send out a filleted pilchard on light gear n you have a good chance of hooking up some trevaly and might get the odd salmon thrown in also, nd if you can get your hands on some fresh squid to set it up in a holder on medium to heavy gear with the odd chance of maybe hooking a kingy... also if your looking for a mate to come fishing with you and chip in on cost's Im more than happy to help lol good luck with it anyway
Mutt
Thanks so much for your help and advice! I own the boat with my best mate and so usually have a full crew (it's only a 3.75m tinny) but would love to fish with you one day, any Botany Bay help is greatly appreciated. Doesn't look like we'll get out till next week anyway so will keep you posted how we fare...tight lines!
