Hairtail attempt early Sunday

Set off at 2am Sunday morning to akuna bay for 5 hours of freezing cold and that annoying wind. froze our balls off even though I was wearing my ski gear. Not a single bite til early morning where we had a hairtail take the bait but pulled the hook before the boat. Grrrrrr. We then headed out to waratah bay where I managed to pull up a 47cm snapper. Actually had a hump albeit a small one . Well I was happy with a new pb for me. All together we managed a feed of snapper bream and trevally. So wasn't a total waste. I think I'll wait til I get a half cabin before doing another overnighter.
