Start ya bastard is not a stabilizer, and those stabilizers will not bring back stale fuel, has to be added when fuel is fresh, one month old fuel in a sealed tank should not be stale.

Any chance of tipping the fuel into your car. That was what I did when it was a bit old. It had a bit of oil in it

but di d not harm the car. Not sure about todays car .

If its only been a month you will be fine.

If you are worried, put the jerry in the car and top the boat up with fresh fuel.

Fuel stabilisers are only good if used when fuel is fresh and won't bring stale fuel back to life as stated before.

They are very expensive and you have to use quite a lot of stabiliser per litre of fuel. 236ml of sta-bil treats only 76L of fuel. Think it costs about $20 from memory.

As if fuels not expensive enough already!

So even the fuel in my carbi and in my spare jerry can should be ok?

Thanks Tareeterror

Fuel will keep in sealed jerry cans for few months, NOT E10 though as it loves soaking up water.

You shouldnt have any problems with month old fuel if its been stored properly in containers that are specifically designed for the job. Fuel additives are a waste of time, just dont store more fuel than you know you will use within a sensible time. cheers
