fishing the beach at night

Hi Guys

I was wondering if anyone knows if whiting can be caught of the ocean beaches during the night specifically targeting them using worms for bait.I have always fished for Jew, tailor at night but never tried for whiting.i have caught flathead and bream as a bycatch when tageting Jew so would like to try for them at night.

Used to catch heaps of whiting off The Entrance beaches at night using worms.

Thanks Fezza do flat seas make any difference do they still bite or do they shut down on the bite due to the lack of whitewater.

Get them in wash but I had more luck in the gutters running parallel to beach and in quite close.

Some of the biggest whiting I have ever seen off the beach have come off the beach at night whilst fishing for Jews. My brother caught two big mothers in winter last year on 8/0's snelled with big squid baits.
