Need new fishing line

I'm looking to buy some 8lb fishing line for my 2-4kg rod. I've only ever used monofilament (never tried braid, maybe someone can convince me!) but i've never known which brand to buy. I only use bait.

Any suggestion for good monofilament lines?

Platypus Lo stretch... If your thinking about braid you can't go past fireline, it's affordable and the good thing about braid there is near zero stretch so what ever movement you get at the hook you'll feel it alot better with braid.

I've used Yo Zuri Hybrid with good results but seem to keep heading back to Maxima Perfexion.
