gmandile Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Hi All, Headed out to 12 Mile on Sun early for first try at jigging. Was after the daughter's 13th B'day party the night before so was a bit hazy... But conditions were great and a bit of fresh air helped sort me out pretty quickly. Got out there and started dropping jigs and not long after hooked a small bonito. Kept going and had a bust off not long after so had high hopes the fish were on. Then hooked into something pretty solid. After a few minutes, up came my PB kingy of 95cm so was pretty happy. Got the jigs back down quick smart, and unfortunately not much more after that apart from a continuous stream of barracoota . All in all, a nice day on the water but fishing was a bit slow. Still came home happy though for an afternoon kip, and some fresh kingy on the plate for dinner!! The dog (as usual) got the head and frame for dinner. Might change his name to Walrus.... happy fishin!
Basil D Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Nice Kingy mate, the cootas are everywhere including wollongong, I fished the area and man the place is infested.

gmandile Posted August 3, 2011 Author Posted August 3, 2011 Hey Brickman, Thinking of putting an add in the paper. Dog - Free to good home. Generally a good boy, but has a couple of nasty habits....
