nosquid Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Hi everyone, Not sure if this is the place to post this.... I do appologise if this is the incorrect spot. I have read that you can catch beach worms on any beach in an outgoing tide..... but can you do this at night time with a headlight. Kind Regards Squid_jig
kadavu Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Running out tide is best I've heard you can get worms some nights but morning and early evening are best

piratin Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 They also do not like the windand big seas. At times have caught some very large ones on sand banks at low tide. Also believe fresh fish frames seem to raise more worms.
Ray R Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 That is an interesting thought, I don't think they have eyes but they do have a huge sense for smell so maybe you can do a night worm, they may not be able to tell if it is day or night...
macman Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 There is a worming DVD available that has a section on worming at night. The issue is not whether worms will come out to a stink bait at night, the point is will you be able to see them, and catch them. Its a pretty difficult skill on a good day with no wind and not too big a sea Good luck though. I would be interested to know if its doable, because a lot of the better tides are after dark. Matt
fisho.sid Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 I have a funny feeling that u won't even get to see them at night. Good luck
outfisher Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Not so much any beach but beaches that produce are well worth fishing. Night/day on a out tide for the first hour is prime time. Towards a new moon you will get better conditioned worms. jase
