best rod and reel combo

Does anyone have unbiased suggetions as to what are the best rod and rell combinations for

1)soft plastics

2)bait fishing

3)popper fishing

Nothing to expensive but all suggestions welcome

Hey for soft plastics a pfleuger trion 2-4kg with a shimano sienna 2500 is pretty good for the money.

I'd suggest you find a better tackle shop if your local just tries to sell you the most expensive stuff every time...

I have a Shimano Jewell 702 Saltwater spin rod matched with a 2500 Shimano Symetre reel. Its a great combo. Picked it up for just under $300. i use it for bait fishing too!

What r u fishing for and what kind of locations are you fishing?

I have the exact same set up for light soft plastics as Giddleberry can not complain about it one bit great set up and well below the $200 mark
