Ensure that whoever you have on board can handle some very improper behaviour. They are not just blokes that like to get that all over tan

My Dad ( 73 ) still cant talk about the last time i took him out fishing in the area your heading.

PS

Clearly, we couldnt fish there, had to " move on " to another spot

As for what happens on the beach well depends on th eday I like the area in really big southerly swells and foul rain it keeps all others indoors and the ledges just west od the beach turn on some massive blackfish (you will need your ocean gear) good bream and the odd drummer! The beach itself and the ledges in a swell can be rough so be cautious even though you are well inside the harbour! The beach will fire in a bump for good bream.

Just avoid calm hot days! :1yikes:

The rock spiders are out near every day, seen em there in drizzle rain during winter! You'd think the shrivel would keep em away :074:

Good squid ground on the northern side but the audience watching starts to get to ya sooner or later.....

They look so happy cheering you on or maybe it's just me, the little asian boy LOL

Last time i was there, i took a breif glance down before I made my way toward the beach thinking to myself "this a first... Fishing in front naked men".... After about 5 flicks I had really strange feeling, I turn around and there's a bloke playing his tackle...I quickly turned around, briskly walking back to the stairs and winding as fast as my little 1000 size reel could wind..... And that was that, I havnt been back in 3 years.

  • 4 weeks later...

I fish there regularly and mostly target squid. Good spot for that. Also, since I mostly fish during the week I manage to avoid the doodle dongers. However, on a particularly cold, Monday morning I had the best time and was totally justified to call my mate at 530am to tell him what was going on...

At first, this Asian dude walks down with a suitcase, later followed by a blonde. Absolutely magnificent because it was a naked photo shoot and she did all sorts of great poses and didn't mint me being 20m away just smiling ear to ear.:biggrin2: I stayed in that area for 3hrs catching no squid. :biggrin2:
