rjc123
Mate! Giant Trevally easy! just imagine how a 1m+ kingie goes. This would be the equilevant of a small trevally!
bassboy888
Havent caught one my self but many people would rate the Black Bass as the strongest pound for pound.
Hodgey
Pound for pound? Very interesting ... great question. A 1m+ sooty, bonefish or black bass would keep you entertained for a while! Cheers Hodgey

pure spirit
first sooty grunter i caught really surprised me, but i'd say aussie salmon but i only ever target them on light gear and a few queenies have given me a run for my money.

Josh88
I'd have to go with Giant Trevally, Kingies are certainly up there, striped tuna are always good for their size too.

bump73
Blue groper pull like a freight train pound for pound are just evil strong Agree totally with this. 5kg of blue groper is a hell of a lot harder to stop than 5kg of any other fish i've caught, including kingies etc Ben

mpreston55
Have to agree with a few people on here that pound for pound the humble mullet is hard to beat. Caught one in a canoe that weighed just under 2kg and it dragged me all over the place (with 2 people in the boat). A 1 kilo luderick would also drag a 1 kilo trout backwards without trouble.
