robthefisherman
Hey all Heading up to Forster for a week with the family, camping at Lakeside Resort just wondering if anyone has some tips on where to take the kids for a fish. Will probably hire a tinny for a day as well so any tips on where to go and what to target would be much appreciated. Cheers Rob
Onajewagain
Anywhere!!! A great fishing spot all year round. Anywhere around the oyster leases are good for bream and flatty. Drift the sands from the bridge running in can produce good flatty. Last time I was up I must of grabbed 5 shovel nose sharks which were good fun. Tuncurry boat ramp on the run out is pretty good from land too. Little street near the boat sheds can go good from land too.

arpie
Hi Rob PM replied to - and also give the beaches a go - some HUGE tailor have been caught recently. My neighbour got a 4lb on & he saw a bloke with one over 6lb. Salmon on the chew too. I would expect there to be good bream out there now, as well. ....Roberta would be the person to converse with for where the hot bites are in Forster Tuncurry at the moment..... Thanks for the vote of confidence, Charlie!! Blackies have been going well off the breakwalls (but not when I've been there! ) Mountview Pde Tuncurry is a good spot to go with the kids - take a picnic lunch & fish from a nice grassy area for bream & flatties. Good luck! Roberta
