Moreton Island

G'Day all,

Taking the family away during the school holidays upto to Moreton Island. We're staying at Comboyuro Point (western side).

Just wondering if any raiders have been up there and tried fishing off the beach, particulary on the western side. We'll have 16 kids in our group, so wanted to stay away from the surf side while were fishing.

As far as I know, bait can be bought at the shops, but there's limited supply. Was planning on filling up the tackle box with an assortment of lures (soft and hard), and some spinners.

Any pointers are appreciated.

I havent fished personally, but my mate went recently and fished the beach.

He pulled a huge shovel nose off the beach about 6 foot in day light and other great species.

I can ask him for more info if you like,

Thanks Dicko, As you do....I did the search after I posted.

I did find a few things, and one particulary about Comboyuro Point where we're staying.
