Ray R
Hi Raiders, well I've been around the stones again and yes I found some blackies. Since fishing for blackies I have found it to be very addictive and also rewarding, a lot of time and effort goes into finding these little fellas.. I found a few nice fish on friday, saturday and today, the swell was up a little today so I had to perch myself on a high ledge which made it a tad hard to get the blackies up. Anyway I managed to get some shots as usual, even some one handed shots, tried to get the rod action and fish in the white wash.. Enjoy the pics..... If you look hard you can see the blackie (one handed photo) Another one handed shot of the rod action
james7
More blackie success Ray! You're on a roll! Fantastic photos! (I'd love a dollar for every time I've said that about your pictures!) Great one handed shots too. However, I'd like to know how you get those photos of yourself fishing on the rock ledge. You must move really quickly to get in the frame. Cheers Peter

FishFever
Nice catch as usual Ray, We didn't dare head out your way to do some spinning due to reports of large swells. Hopefully we see you there next week, i still haven't tried my hand at the blackfish yet, but keen as to give it a shot. Was in sydney harbour today and saw a fellow land a massive blackie from the wharf. Cheers Anfs
Harbour Hauler
I'm yet to try to catch a luddrick . It does look addictive. Well done . The rock fishing attachment on your shoes you are wearing look like they are removable, if so that's very handy.?

Ray R
Hello Ray, about the rock cleats that you are wearing , are they as hard wearing as the old fashioned sand cleats? thank you . Don't know, I never used those bolt on cleats, I used to have KayDee plastic sandals with self tapper screws in the sole, but these new ice cleats are great, they can slip on over any shoe, I have an old pair of rock boots and I wear an inner arch support which makes a 4 or 5 hour rock fish session very comfortable..
