zen801
Hi raiders, I was wondering if anyone knew where i can buy a rod rack. I keep my gear inside now and need to get organised as they are taking over the office and a rod rack would be perfect. Details appreciated. boattart
I have a couple in my garage I bought from local tackle shops. Plastic press together parts can hold up to a dozen rods. I have seen them at various tackle stores so they appear resaonable common. Think mine were $25 or $30. Guest Finno
You can buy them from the big tackle shops like ******* and *** but im sure they would be a bit more pricy then buying from local tackle shops. bluebottle18
My suggestion is this. Get yourself a set of draws/tallboy, a set of rod holder racks that you like, a set of 4 wheels, brackets and timber 2'' wide the length of the set of draws. Attach wheels to base of draws, brackets and timber to base of draws but not in front where draws open. Fit rod holder to sides. You are then ready to put rods around the chest draws and all your other gear in the draws. Read between the lines and use your imagination as to what I am trying to explain and what you can do with this set up. Customise it to your situation. The wheels on the base allows you to move it around. A little bit of carpentry is required.. Suggestion Two. Buy two sets of plastic draws and build a cabinet around them. Fit rod holders/racks to cabinet and dont forget the wheels on the base As above This is a brief explanation of what I am suggesting. Sorry NO pictures. zen801
Hey bluebottle 18, option 1 is a good idea and when I have a man cave I might just build one like you suggested. For now I found one good enough for my limited space. Cheers people. Mike
bluebottle18
Actually I am hoping to do what you said. I want to move to the Hinterland of QLD put up a Barn Yard Shed to store my Fish Gear. I have collected so much gear (just in case) that I rent a garage to store it all. Glad you found what you are looking for. Cheers, Bluebottle.
