burnsie
Hi guys just wondering which knot to use when tying mono backing to braid?? I'm using 10 pound mono onto 10 pound braid. At the moment i use uni to uni but saw the fg knot which looks alot more slim line.
The Incredible Hull
I'm a beginner, but I use a uni knot too. I used to create 1 loop from 1 end, then slot through the other line through the first loop and tighten both loops - basically making 2 uni knots and tighten. However now I do it differently. I line up both braid and mono along side each other and do 1 uni knot. Edited September 14, 2011 by The Incredible Hull
cjchen
stren knot, a uni knot and a half blood knot easiest to tie in a kayak
martoiscool
Albright knot or a slim beauty knot. Tie them properly and you will have no problems
burnsie
Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up using a fg knot I think it's called. I think it might be meant for the heavier lines but it's holding pretty tight and is really slim line
