rjc123
Hey guys, i normally dont have trouble catching yakkas but for some reason i never get many off wharves. I fish balmoral a bit and maybe get a couple on a little hook rig but i would like to know if i should be able to get them on a jig here. Maybe i cant get them on a jig because the water is only 4 meters deep and they might get spooked? Any ideas?
Krispy !
Thats unusual mate yakkas can generally be very easy to catch. Only on occasions they can be quite shy and that usually means there are a few predators around. I find that sabiki jigs work very well and just put a tiny piece of pillie or prawn on the tip of the barb and thats all you need. A little burley cant hurt either. Good luck mate
