Book a flight to Asia and ask a local :)

These fish can't be found in Australia except maybe in an aquarium...

The Featherfin Knifefish, also called the Bronze Featherback or Asiatic Knifefish, was described by Pallas in 1769. The are found in southern India, Myanmar and in most coastal river basins of Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra and Java. It inhabits many waterways; moving, sluggish, or standing water that can be either fresh or brackish.

@EmptyHooks - Guess what mate, I AM in Asia - visiting. Found a waterhole which has good amount of Featherbacks but they are tricky to catch on hooks.

@mrsswordfisherman - Thanks. Locals also use earthworms. Will try my luck.

@EmptyHooks - It's all good mate. No one can tell we anglers don't have sense of humor. I'll post some picks if I succeed - now where is that bloody weekend gone?
