fisheyes85
Hey raiders, Just thought I'd let you know I managed to pick up a healthy bag of school prawns last night in Forster. I thought they mightn't be running until the next New Moon, but thankfully I was wrong! They weren't running particularly thick, but what was there had decent size to them, mostly over 10-12cm. We're lucky enough to have a public pontoon in town that gets good current flow passing it, so it's just a matter of setting up camp high and dry and plucking up the passers by on the run out tide. I expect it will continue for the next few nights...Yummo! Cheers Tom
Mr Squidy
Nice work Tom. Pawning from a pontoon sounds much more civilized than the times i have done it by standing waste deep in the channel up at the Entrance. Rich

Bleeding Green
Good Stuff. I'm so glad prawn season is back. Now I just need these ridiculous temps to rise.
dangler
Mate!! Sounds like you're a real prawnstar. Yummo! I know this guy from Forster who offroaded his canoe down an embankment, and flipped it over onto 50 years worth of Barclay oyster shells, before he reached the lake. Needless to say, hilarity ensued.

Unfortunately the weather closed in and we piked before the tide really turned... Oh well, maybe give it another shot tonight.
