Hey Raiders,

This is just a quick post with some pics. couldn't sleep last night so stayed up and decided to go for a fish just before dawn. Was determined to catch something with soft plastics so i left the bait at home. I'm seriously glad that I only used plastics today!!!!!!!

I was throwing a squidgy fish around not really expecting much, and then the drag started to buzz, not a bad flattie, almost cut my 4lb leader off on the rocks but was able to land him on a flat rock, take a few pics and throw him back in the drink.

About 5 minutes later this little bloke engulfed the entire plastic!

After that things died down for about 30 mins. I was on the phone to my fiance, and carelessly was just bobbing the squidgy fish up and down by some structure. The rod bends and the drag starts, had no idea what it was until I saw a silver flash, first bream on plastics, wont be able to wipe the grin off my face for a few days.

On the way back to the car I decided to cast as I walked along, another nice little flattie to end the day.

What an excellent report. Normally I do not sleep well because I have to go to work in the morning. Best of all you do not have toclean the fish and they live another day to breed and get bigger.

Sounds like a cracker of a morning, hope you get some more fish on plastics in future, they definitly work.
