dean_c
Taking the family up to Mulloway Beach (half hour past Coffs Harbour) for a few weeks over Xmas, can anyone enlighten me on how good the beach fishing is there (the name of the place has me feeling optermistic) The house is across the rd from the beach so plan on spending morning and nights fishing and if there is a good place to buy live worms from? Cheers Edited October 4, 2011 by fishfeeder_1
outdoordan
Its a beautiful part of the counrty, But i have never fished the beaches up there. In saying that its a good time to target beach mulloway,There should be plenty of bait in the gutters and its not too uncomfortable to spend long nights on the beach. Just remember to use the freshest bait possible. Preferably catch it yourself. A combination of baits like live or fresh whiting, small mullet, whole or filleted tailor and a few sandworms should see you with a chance. But most importantly, You must be prepared to put in some long hours, as this is often what it takes to ring home the bacon. Hope it lives up to its name sake for you, and keep us posted.
