Marlin01
Dunc333, I have had hydraulic steering for 6 years now (Admiral Hydrive from memory) in the bullhorn configuration (only one that would fit my steering well) and find it excellent especially compared to cable steering. I think the difference is that the bullhorn should A be narrower for the same turn radius and B have a mechanical advantage over the single arm. swanie1975
i just repowered my boat with a suzi 140 and also fitted hydrive hydraulic steering at the same time. huge improvement over the old cable system and no feedback, also the wheel stays straight if i let it go (only for a little while lol). mine is a compact bullhorn due to the very narrow engine well on my rig and about 2.5 turns each way. wish i had fitted it sooner. cheers ryan
dunc333
thanks ryan will measure my well width but i think the bullhorn will be the go .so after reading more if you want to fit the hydro steering the bull horn is the go if your well width is under about 830mm wide.
