Hawkesbury Session

Hi Raiders,

Hit the hawkesbury in chase of a jewie for the second time this week,The system is new to me as i havent fished it since a bream comp,with a mate last year and that was really the only time i had fished the hawkesbury,reason being it is a bit of a drive from where i live,so id rather go to the georges river,botany or the harbour.

My Mate Michael(Imick) got a hairtail on a jerk shad,which we soon found out what was showing up on the sounder.Other than that we caught a couple of flatties and i got a soapie jew which was the smallest ive ever caught.We fished solidly for the two tide changes though our luck wasnt the best.

Also ran into GregL and Richard,off the site on my wednesday outing,was nice to meet you guys,and thanks for the advice!!just goes to show you guys have got these jewies FIGURED OUT!!!Good stuff guys!!

Love the hawkesbury! My fav haunt.

Funny with the hairtails in there at the moment. I've been fishing up there for years and never heard of them until I got on this site.

Great place to fish, plenty to catch and just a good relaxing environment.

Good fun as always Nick, we tried very hard for that little jewie, and you come good in the end, there are some cracker fish in the system. Can't wait to get there again! Surprise hariry too. I'm gonna claim a raider record

NIce little jew and as they say, any jews a good jew....

We caught a few hairy's on the last few trips up there to. Over near Mullet Ck along the northern shore there was a few.
