Hi Guys,

Went and checked out the local on the weekend , after all the rain Yarumundi is looking great.

The fish are starting to return and the carp seem to be getting bigger.

I caught this mud sucker on a floating piece of bread while targeting mullet.

Pulled like a freight train when setting the hook, peeled off 30 meters of line off the spin gear in a mater of seconds.

Heart rate went up pretty quick as well.

After a 10 min fight the fat girl gave up and I pulled her up onto the bank.

I would estimate the weight at 7 or 8kg and messured 83cm , I would like to submit this for a place in the records.

hey great pick up im from that local area live only 15mins from yarrumundi, have been down devlin rd entrance a couple of times for bass but it was too cold might have to try yarra instead, did you pick up any mullet

Got one about 40cm , I use them for bait.

Some people do eat them but from what I have seen them eat , it turns me off them.

Plenty down that way so go get yourself one and tell us how they taste.
