3amigos
Well what started out as a good day turned into a bit of an experience, boat running well all morning and about lunchtime we couldn't get the motor started and we ended up drifting towards the container ships in Botany, as soon as we got too close Port Security turned up and asked if we were allright, when we told them that we couldn't start the engine, they just said ok where are we towing you to? When we get to the boat ramp there is Maratime waiting to help us dock the boat. Both guys were unbelievable, so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. So if you ever break down in Botany it's great to know that someone is there to help out. Thanks a million guys. Oh and we did get a few trevally, so all in all an experience Cheers, Doug Edited October 10, 2011 by 3amigos
Guest
Those guys do an amazing job and I commend them all. Great outcome for what could have been a costly or even dangerous situation. I hope you get your motor issues sorted. Regards Swordfisherman

kiwineil
First up great news that a potentially dangerous outcome ended well. I hope you got the name of the guys/gals who helped you out. Too often that kind of good deed goes unnoticed or uncommented - have you thought about an email or a letter to their bosses outlining the over and above? Positive recognition goes along way in my book just a thought

Catchin Jack
Great of them to assist you like that, as Rafinx said, a call or email etc to their superiors thanking them would go a long way, not often workers get thanked for the great jobs they do. Guest Aussie007
just keep in mind your V sheet would have come in handy i was out there today and port security drove past a dozen times one flash of your V sheet and u would have been on your way home there compulsive and only around $8 hang it between two fishing rods and i think people living on the water will be able to see it and for those thinking they can rely on there mobile there is no reception around the air port Edited October 15, 2011 by gazza
