fishing the peak on thursday

Hi All, "was" heading out to the peak on Thursday with my dad (managed to squeeze in an extra day onto my leave :thumbup: ),but ill check the forecast, seem to be getting windy

I'm only relatively new to fishing wide as such. I recently up graded from a 485 Broker C/C to a 5.5 cox craft and have been trialling the boat/ fuel required ect and getting used to the boat for the last 6 mths, trips to the humps ect.

My plan is the peak a few times, 12 mile, then browns. Obviously in a 5.5 the weather will ultimately determine if i head out or not on any given day.

Anyway, I’ve got some new jigs and am hoping to get some kingies.

a couple of questions, is any one heading out on Thursday?

what should i be looking for on the sounder, (fish arches i know ) but whats the bottom like their? i have the marks from this forum but generally i have to search around a bit to find the spot, is it a gravel bed like the humps or just a rise in the sea bed?

Also should drop some baits for a bottom bash whilst jigging? is their usually anything down their? or should I send out a trail of cubes hoping for something special!!!

cheers Luke

Any Pm's would also be appreciated.
