Plumb
Hi All, "was" heading out to the peak on Thursday with my dad (managed to squeeze in an extra day onto my leave ),but ill check the forecast, seem to be getting windy I'm only relatively new to fishing wide as such. I recently up graded from a 485 Broker C/C to a 5.5 cox craft and have been trialling the boat/ fuel required ect and getting used to the boat for the last 6 mths, trips to the humps ect. My plan is the peak a few times, 12 mile, then browns. Obviously in a 5.5 the weather will ultimately determine if i head out or not on any given day. Anyway, I’ve got some new jigs and am hoping to get some kingies. a couple of questions, is any one heading out on Thursday? what should i be looking for on the sounder, (fish arches i know ) but whats the bottom like their? i have the marks from this forum but generally i have to search around a bit to find the spot, is it a gravel bed like the humps or just a rise in the sea bed? Also should drop some baits for a bottom bash whilst jigging? is their usually anything down their? or should I send out a trail of cubes hoping for something special!!! cheers Luke Any Pm's would also be appreciated.
