Blueachilles
Went to Gold Coast for a holiday, stopped at Byron Bay for 2 nights but got only couple of hours for fishing. 20lb lines only land one big drummer 46mm and a bream 38mm, busted twice. Saw other people caught giant tailors with metal lure. Found a chinese restaurant to cook the pig, very nice
Mondo Rock
Wow - awesome! I've not thought of taking my catch to a restaurant before but after seeing that photo I think I'll give it a try!!
ben.marshman
Hi BlueAchilles, Looks very tasty! I am heading up to Byron Bay for a week of camping in November and hope to do a bit of fishing. Could you please let me know where you fished, and what bait you used. I have never fished up that way! Thanks, Ben
Blueachilles
Hi mate, be careful when you go fishing 'cause some areas are marine reserves, check the sign before you fish. I fished at the tallow beach north corner, with peeled prawn. big parking, good for surfing and camping, and fishing too because no small fish there. If I took 30lb line and 10kg rod i can show more fish here you may take your catch to AJ chinese restaurant at club byron 18 - 20 Marvell Street, the boss is nice they have buffet every saturday night. enjoy your time there and tight line Hi BlueAchilles, Looks very tasty!
