windredj
headed out on sunday just off pittwater, couldnt resist driving past a few wrecks in clairville with fish jumping, but got spooked as we got there so we headed out, first stop was just off palm beach and got a banjo ray, then we headed out to the 40m mark looking for some flatties but only small, then headed into the 35m mark still only small, then came across a reef, man did the sounder light up. we were pulling in fish after fish, snapper, groper, silver travally, naninguy was real good fun then headed back in round 12 as were out of bait! ever heard that before.. anyway could anyone point me in the right direction of reefs off pittwater? as i am just starting to head out off pitty but dont know any spots? thanks in advance

Canary05
I was out fishing with a mate on Sunday in the same area from dawn, in a limited time fish we managed 5 legal flatties from 40 up to ~55cm drifting off Palm Beach and Bangalley headland, and a couple of tailor. Didn't have your luck with the snapper/trevally though. The flatties went down well on the barbie last night Edited October 25, 2011 by Canary05
davegroves68
I was at the 28 metre mark off Barrenjoey on saturday, drifting from 8am til midday and got heaps of small flatties along with 7 keepers and a flounder . Not a bad day as we also had a visit by 2 Whales. Dave

Spectacular....! Did anyone else come across the teddy bear?? Strangest thing, about 2k off barrenjoey in the middle of nowhere a huge brown teddy bear floating in the water! I didn''t see the whales jump, they just cruised right past us, blowing a bit and showing their fins. It was only after that, that the fish started biting.
