:biggrin2: G'day Raiders, I've been absent for a while due to way too much work but the reward was a family trip to Darwin to see the relatives and celebrate my little darlings 50th b/day..

It was a great week and our first time up there in the thunder storms and a bit of rain, all our other times up there were in our winter months..

We did a bit of fishing in the Manton Dam which was the old Darwin water supply, Karen and I were zapping around in Steve's Skeeter, boy are they fun and such a top fishing platform and I managed to sneak out on an extended day charter.

The week was full of surprises for Karen and the best was her present from her big brother Steve and wife Cheryl. It was a chopper flight around Darwin and the surrounding wetlands, she said it was fantastic, Steve and her Mum were with her as well, it was the same little chopper I went on last year.

We also saw Cold Chisel at the Darwin Botanic Gardens Ampitheatre which was unreal, very hot and sweaty but well worth it, Jimmy Barnes sounded great as did the whole Chisel band.

So just a brief account of our week, we all had a top time and can't wait for the next family visit, took thousands of pics but I have just selected a few of the fishy ones..

thats a great report ray, sounds like you guys are having a ball! happy birthday to Karen, what a great way to see darwin - I am very jealous. I am even more jealous of the fantastic black jew and saratoga that you caught. I am buggered if I can see any diference between the jew we catch here and tha black jew they catch there except maybe the black jew are a little longer and leaner, would i be right in saying that?

Great photos by the way as always.
